I love what King David told his son Solomon. David was saying that the Lord had chosen Solomon to build the Temple. This would become the Lord’s dwelling place for that time. It was to be built as per a plan. God’s plan… It was to be built in an orderly fashion. It was to be built with certain materials in a certain way. It was to be consecrated (set apart for God) and Holy. It was God’s Temple.

Has not the Father chosen all of His children to build a temple for the Spirit of God to dwell. Sure He has. Our bodies are His temple. (1 Corinthians 6:19) Build with a plan, the right materials, the right way, set apart, and be Holy for He is Holy.

God, I am a man of unclean lips and I am undone. I recognize that. Forgive me Lord. Touch me with Your forgiveness and strengthen me to build this temple that You dwell in in a manner that is pleasing to You. May I always follow Your plan for this temple. Guild me to the right materials. Lead me the right way. Set me apart and consecrate me unto Yourself. Father, may I seek Holiness, as You are Holy. I ask for the wisdom, guidance, and faith to live in this world but not to be caught up in this world. May I forever be a beacon of love, hope, light, encouragement, peace, joy, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control to all that I met.
